Table Curipira
-
The Curupira side table is a unique piece of furniture inspired by the Brazilian legend of the Curupira, a clever protector of the forest. Made in France from recycled plastics, this piece embodies the harmony between a Brazilian concept and excellent French artisanal know-how through a collaboration between Estúdio Bloco A and Johé Bruneau.
While researching the possibilities of producing furniture with recycled plastic, Igor and Ney Almeida discovered a technique developed by Johé that results in a final product with an appearance similar to marble. Intrigued by the potential of this technique, the Brazilian studio collaborated with Johé to bring their vision to life.
The Curupira side table magnifies the spirit of the legend through subtle details and evocative references. More than a tribute to Brazilian popular culture, this piece also represents the power of ideas that transcend borders, highlighting how art and design can come together to honor tradition while embracing sustainability. -
