Cris Bertolucci
Since a kid, Cris showed an interest in art, design and architecture. Her degree in industrial design from Mackenzie University in São Paulo, Brazil, marked the beginning of her formal education in the field. Her experience at the Università Internazionale dell’Arte in Florence further deepened her knowledge and passion for lighting design. The learning and inspiration she gained in Italy served as a solid foundation for her future career. Upon returning to Brazil, Cris Bertolucci joined Bertolucci, a company specializing in decorative lighting founded by her father, Walter Bertolucci. For 25 years, she played a key role as art director at the company. In 2010, Cris felt it was time to follow her own path and explore her creative potential independently.
Bicho Pau lamps
-
Bicho Pau lamps are made of cast bronze, from branches collected in nature.
They are a variation of other collections that also use bronze branches for lamps, but now with a playful twist.
The inspiration comes from nature itself, but the language of being a branch and/or an insect brings grace, poetry and romanticism.
